About Josh

Josh Frewin at Mogollon Monster 100

Growing up, I played mostly team sports like soccer, football, and baseball. After playing NCAA football in college and earning a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, I was looking for a new way to stay active and competitive.

That's when I discovered trail and ultrarunning—and I've been hooked ever since. I've completed multiple ultramarathons including the Cocodona 250, Mogollon Monster 100, Mesquite Canyon 50, Stagecoach 100, and many more across the Southwest.

Through each finish—and two DNFs—I've learned what it takes to train smart. Balancing a full-time career, family, and ambitious running goals isn't easy, but it's possible. That's exactly why I created Waypoint: to help runners like you reach your biggest goals without sacrificing the other important parts of your life. Whether you're chasing your first 5K or your first 250-miler, training should work around your real life—not the other way around.

"Training should fit your life, not the other way around."
